Gary Mao
Gary Mao, was born Nantong, China, two hours north of Shanghai. He has been Minnesota since 2003. He is owner of Northwest Grains international, and North Star Containers. He has been on the Minnesota Chinese Chamber of Commerce since 2018. He’s served on various committees such as Membership and Corporate Relations, Finance and Administrative Services and Strategic Planning.
Vice President - Roger Chen
Roger Chen, born in Changchun, Jilin, China. Graduated from Michigan State University with a B.S in Chemical Engineering. Received EMBA degree from Chinese European International Business School in 2011. He worked at General Mills from 1998 to 2017. He is now the owner of Décor International LLC which is an importer of decorative materials. He has been with Minnesota Chinese Chamber of Commerce since 2019. Roger is currently on the corporate membership committee.
Joanie (Xuejiao) Zhang
Joanie (Xuejiao) Zhang is a certified food and nutrition scientistemployed by a top dairy corporation. She came from China to Minnesota for graduate education in nutrition science from UMN in 2011. She has been actively involved in local community activities and taken lead roles in MN China Friendship Garden Society, Twin Cities Chinese Dance Center, Minnesota Chinese Commerce Association, and Institute of Food Technology-MN. She has her passion in promoting Chinese culture and US-China friendships. In her spare time, she enjoys playing traditional musical instrument Guzheng, Latin Dance and painting.
